Exploring the Minus

100 YEARS HISTORY HIGHLIGHT

Seen from above

A perfect, black hole in the middle of the city.

A journey through
space and time

Year for year we pushed deeper into the Minus.
That’s why this journey into its depths can also be
seen as one through time.
The deeper we look, the closer we get to the present.

Tabula rasa

Our trust in the laws of nature.
The belief in a god.
The calendar system.
The Minus reset everything to zero.

Where there
are questions…

Mankind looks for answers.
One company, more than any other, with its confidence and dedication, was
the driving force behind the exploration of the unknown.

Grand Industries

The precursor of the present company empire Grand Echo. To take measurements in the Minus, research stations were created during the building of the wall. Crane-like constructions lowered the first probes and detectors into the Minus.

We have a problem…

The probe began to swing, followed by sudden erratic pulls.
At a depth of 389m, the cables ruptured and ALPHA disappeared into nothingness.

“It was as if we were holding a fishing rod into a gigantic pond.
And a monstrous fish had bitten and disappeared into the depths with the bait.”.

The first manned mission

The GRAND EXPLORER was the first manned probe in the Minus. Although there were concerns after the disappearance of the Alpha probe and the unsettling medical data recorded, there was no shortage of volunteering pioneers.

Grand Explorer

The probe was equipped with steel cables and a preasure cabin to descend more safely into the Minus. Since it was assumed firm ground would be reached at some point, Grand Explorer was equipped with a hatch to exit.

Alexander the Great

A former first lieutnant had, after a series
of medicaland psychological tests, the dubious honor
of becoming the first human being to enter the Minus.

What exactly led Alexander Deville to open the hatch
without warning at 912m and let himself fall into the Minus
remains unknown to this day…

Every end is a new beginning

PART I

The essence of the universe.
Jasper Grand was a visionary.
Without him the world would be other.

But above all
without him the world became another.

It was not until after his death that the company became what it is today.

An empire.

Ruled by a God-like leader.
The echo.

The era of Grand Echo starts here.

A new dimension

The LAPLACE program was the first research program
under the newly formed company empire Grand Echo.

26 years after the appearance of the Minus
the DEMON PROBES made groundbreaking discoveries.

Jump around

DEMON 1 was the first object to show leaps in space-time.
The probe disappeared at a depth of 9.8 kilometers, appearing shortly after over 3,000 kilometres away.

The Infinity program

40 years after its appearance, and for the first time in history, we faced the Minus not with fear, but with scientific curiosity and hope.

Nobody expected that this would be the last research program.

A Legend

THE RIEMANN MISSION

No mission went deeper into the unknown than Riemann’s.
No mission has sent so much data.

Riemann is the only pilot
NEVER DECLARED DEAD.

Giant data structures

The RIEMANN PROBE appeard  for a fraction of a second only, but has sent such complex data it could never fully be decoded.

Last Words

From OVER 9 MILLION kilometers away
Riemann sent his last message.

TO THIS VERY DAY
over 50 years after his launch,
many wait for a new sign of life.

You are now
entering the infinite
space…
